Wanted to say thanks to all the people who sent me emails regarding my health condition.

Still waiting on a surgery date. Supposedly within 2 to 3 weeks.

Thanks for visiting 50chevy.com

Aaron

I been sick and have not been doing updates.

I have diverticulitis , and doctors have been lagging to give me surgery because I am “too young”. Well since they didn’t operate right away I now have a fistulus.

Will be going into surgery in a few weeks.
Once I recover. I will get back to everyone’s questions and my project!!!

Thanks for your support.

I love cars, Sometimes you hear a cool story behind a car…. here is the story and photos Paul Sent in.

My dad passed away at 58 unexpectedly and the 54 is the only thing that gives me comfort as he loved the car like a third child. (There is only my sister and i. I am 36 and my sis is 29. So yeh, our world has been turned upside down but this fills a small part of the hurt

Here is the license plate I chose to put on the car. (bad picture)License Plate

I would love to tell of my dad and his car. The car as at the paint booth as we speak in Hayward , Ca. The car is originally an Oaktown car (Oakland, ca)

I now live in Folsom, Ca. Hayward is about 3 hours from my house. The dude repainting the car was a close friend of my dads. I am painting it its original colors (two-tone) India Ivory on top and Rosemary red on bottom.

It has a 496 BBC with 607 hp at 5700rpm and 608 hp at 5800rpm
it has a beefed up turbo 400 and a narrowed ford nine inch 31 spline 3.25 pose rear witha mustang II front end with power steeting and disc brakes all the way around.

This car has A LOT of history and me and my dad are a lot of that hisory. He bought it in 1963 and it has always been stored. Notice it is the HARD TO FIND sport coupe (no post)

The care is just as unique and just as rare as my dad, it is very very special.

I am doing this in his honor and memory as I feel somewhat obligated because the car never got finished like we had imagined (together)

In case you haven’t noticed already, I have added a new section to the website.

Visitor Builds

Send in photos and a description of what you are doing.

Then you can send in updates as you go along.

That way you have your own part of 50chevy.com to showcase and share what you are doing with your car.

Photos and information really help other people do the same job for the first time.

Check out the new category here:

http://50chevy.com/category/visitor-builds/

If you want your car to appear on the site, please click on contact and then email me the photos as attachments.

Please note: In case of overwhelming response, I cannot guarantee I put every car and photo on the site. Your understanding is greatly appreciated.

Bob sent in these pics of a 1953 Chevy 210 with Triangulated 4-link, Frame Notch.

Thanks for supporting 50chevy. I been helping out a friend with his car, so my project will be in in limbo for a little while.

I wanna make the site the best it can be.

So help me out.

What type of step by step tech do people want to see?

Would you like to see a 49-54 chevy only forum?

Send me an email. aaron at 50 chevy dot com

FYI< Next tech I have planned is a notch with triangulated 4 bar.
