Here is what Mr Smith Sent in.

THIS IS MY LATEST PROJECT. A 51 DELUXE, DON’T CRINGE BUT I’M SHAVING ALL THE CHROME AND MOLDINGS. I’M KEEPING THE STOCK ROOFLINE BUT SHAVING THE REST OF THE CAR. I INSTALLED A FATMAN ULTRA LOW FRONT END WITH BAGS AND I’M HEADING TO THE REAR. I’VE GOT A 1967 327 W/700R4 GOING TO POWER IT DOWN THE ROAD WITH 3 DUECES. IT HAS POWER WINDOWS, KEYLESS ENTRY, HEATED SEATS AND SOME OTHER LITTLE MODERN FUN STUFF. IT WILL HAVE A MODERN BUT VERY OLD SCHOOL FEEL TO IT. A FLAKE PAINT JOB AND WHITE INTERIOR ( TUCK AND ROLL, WITH ACCENT PIPING AND STITCHING) WITH A CUSTOM 30” SHIFTER. STOCK SEATS ECT. I’LL KEEP THE PICTURES COMING AS IT PROGRESSES. I’M SHOOTING TO TAKE IT TO GOODGUYS 1ST ANNUAL IN ATLANTA. TWO MONTHS AND COUNTING. WISH ME LUCK!

Happy New Year.
It is 2007 and it’s resolution time.
Resolutions have a much different meaning than they used to.

Thanks to all my friends.
You really made the difference this past year.
Have a great year and thanks for visiting 50chevy.com.

Expect to see alot more updates in 2007.

Take care of yourself!!!
Don’t slack off and forget to use the Jack stands just cause your in a hurry. (or being lazy)
OR welding with gas leaking under you.
OR better yet welding on gas tank with gas in it!!!!
Get a fire extinguisher if you dont have one already.
I could go on and on but hopefully you get the point… These are just a few easy ways to get seriously hurt or killed.
Just a reminder, Don’t take life for granted and lose perspective of being safe.
Next time your working on your project.
Think twice before you act. It may save your life.
Some horrible accidents happen out there in people garages.
Guess you don’t think about it as much until it strikes close to you.
While back someone I know was pinned under there car and killed.
Hope you read this and think twice. Hopefully more accidents can be avoided.
If you don’t have your health you don’t have shit.
Was debating to post this or not.
The whole reason I started 50chevy was to help people by sharing what I learn in working on my project.
I couldn’t find much about 49-54 chevy cars when I started on my project and this site would have helped me.

Well I miss my mother
And I miss being her son
As crazy as I was I
Guess I wasn’t much of one
Sometimes I miss her so much,
I want to hop on the next jet
And I get lonely, but I ain’t that lonely yet
And I love my sister
Lord knows how I’ve missed her
She loves me
And she knows I won’t forget
And sometimes I get jealous
Of all her little pets
And I get lonely, but I ain’t that lonely yet

I roll over in bed
Looking for someone to touch
There’s a girl that I know of
But don’t ask for much
She’s homely, and she’s cranky
And her hair’s in a net
And I’m lonely, but I ain’t that lonely yet

I get my friend when I need one
I need someone to be one
I take anybody I can get
And sometimes I wanna call you
And I feel like a pet
And I’m lonely, but I ain’t that lonely yet

I go down to the river
Filled with regret
I go down and I wonder
If there was any reason left
I’ve just before my lungs could get wet
I’m lonely, but I ain’t that lonely yet

And I love my sister
Lord knows how I’ve missed her
She loves me
And she knows I won’t forget
And sometimes I get jealous
Of all her little pets
And I get lonely, but I ain’t that lonely yet
Yeah I get lonely, but I ain’t that lonely yet
Lonely Yet

Seems like some of the visitors to 50chevy are new to building a traditional rod or custom.

Some people assume things are easier than they seem.

I found a post on the H.A.M.B. that was very inspiring to me.
Many of the things I show on 50chevy I learned and am doing for the first time.
Some people don’t seem to undertsand what goes into building a car.
But on the other hand some people don’t give themselves enough credit and then they fall short and dont try things. IF you set your mind to it, you can do ANYTHING.
I know how it feels to not have hacked up your car and feel scared your gonna f@#$ it up. But then one you learn and get it done.
You then have the confidence to try bigger things.
More on the topic of getting it done……

I like the way samIyam puts things into perspective.

Maybe also learn from other people’s posts, don’t neglect everything else in your life bcause of your passion for cars. Balance it out.

Been real busy with work and been behind on website updates.
Hope to get back on updates at 50chevy.com real soon.
The goal will be to finish the tech sections. Looing forward to sharing more information on 49-54 chevrolet customizing.
Recently got a notch kit from Gambino Kustoms and will be doing a step by step with photos of the install.
Slowly but surely getting bodywork done and prepping my 1950 chevy fleetline for paint.
Keep checking back for updates, they will eventually come.
